Church of England links
St Barts is part of the Church of England, which is organised into regions named dioceses under the care of bishops. Our diocese is Southwark, which covers South London and much of the suburbs and countryside to the south. The cathedral is a few moments' walk from London Bridge station and well worth visiting for tourism or worship. To find other churches nearby and see our parish boundaries, the Church of England maintains a website called "A Church Near You".

We have a primary school linked to the church.
St Barts has a very strong musical tradition, and we are one of the host venues for the annual Sydenham Music Festival. Sydenham also has a civic society whose purpose is to give the community a voice on local issues, and there is a separate community website. The first Sydenham Arts Festival was held in 2009.

National organisations and campaigns
- Christian Aid campaigns for an end to global poverty. Each spring we spend a week raising funds for them.
- Sightsavers are an international charity which works with partners to eliminate avoidable blindness and promote equality of opportunity for disabled people in the developing world. We collect on their behalf at our annual Star Service in Advent.
